IMPORTANT MEETINGS-Lafarge's Proposed Ravena Cement Plant Modernization
Concerned Citizens Are Urged to Attend
Lafarge Ravena is holding Information Fairs to discuss the proposed modernization of their Ravena Cement Plant.
At these events they will discuss the technology proposed for the new facility, the construction timeline and other details as well as how the public will be able to access the information about this project.
The DEC is expected to release the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for this project shortly. These information meetings will provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the project and the issues it presents before the time-sensitive formal public review process begins. It is also one of the only opportunities for the public to question Lafarge directly about the proposal because the applicant is not required to answer questions at the DEC Public Hearing.
