SLC SCHEDULES 'MAJOR' ANNOUNCEMENT ON WEDS.
HUDSON -- St. Lawrence Cement says it will announce what it is calling a "major new development in the Greenport Replacement Plant" on Wednesday, August 18th at 11 am at the St. Charles Hotel.

The terse invitation, received by Friends of Hudson from the company on Tuesday morning, states that SLC's president for North American operations Dennis Skidmore and David Loomes, the new general manager of the Greenport project, will attend along with "other St. Lawrence Cement officials." The release only adds that "multi-media materials regarding the announcement will be distributed to the news media at the press conference."
