5th Annual Hudson Clean-Up Day a Success

The fifth annual Downtown Clean-Up Day was held on the morning of Saturday, June 1st. Organized by Hudson Supervisor Ed Cross and Alderman Quintin Cross with Friends of Hudson and FourthDown, volunteers met at A.M.E. Zion Church on State and Second streets to get pickers, gloves and bags before fanning out into Hudson's Second (and parts of the First) ward.

Andy Taggart of Taggart's Hauling hauled a full dump truck of garbage to the dump; clean-up materials were provided by Kaz, Inc.

Thanks to Diana Jelinek, Tom Froese, Jim Cashen, Phyllis Herbert, Howard Cort, Dick Donovan, Martha Lane, Kathryn Butler and other volunteers for participating in today's clean-up. There was a noticeable increase in neighborhood participation from previous years, with a large contingent of kids from the ward joining in.
